What the heck is a shortcode?
- A shortcode is a WordPress tool that allows you to insert code into your WordPress posts or pages, without having to actually know the code!
- Shortcodes are very simply to use, and are much easier than creating your own code. To see the shortcodes used on this page, go into your page editor and take a look at the HTML code. You will see words such as ‘contentbox’ and ‘colorbox’ surrounded by square brackets like [ and ]. Those are the shortcodes!

Custom fields available for use with this page
Here are the custom fields you can use to control your page appearance
- spwidth – use this as the custom field name and any value such as 700 or 800 to control the width of the page.
- spbackground – use this as the custom field name and any hex color value (without the hash (#) symbol) to change the background color of the page.
- spcustombg – use this as the custom field name and the full URL to an image to repeat it as your background image. This page uses a repeating jpg image as the background.
